Do you have a permanent track?

Yes, we have a ¼ mile raised track of 5 and 3 ½ inch combined gauges situated on Oswestry Show Ground. Click here for a map and directions.

How often do you meet?

We meet regularly on the 2nd Sunday of the month. This may vary during the steaming months due to other engagements. See our calendar to see where we will be.

Who is membership open to?

Membership to our society is open to all that pursue model engineering activities and insurance is provided for all paying members. Contact us for more details.

When was the Society formed?

The Society was formed in 1988 by a group of Model Engineers who were attending the Model Engineering evening course run by North Shropshire College.

Does the Society have its own locomotive?

Yes, the Society has its own club loco which was built by the members of the Society. It is used throughout the summer months at local fetes and shows.

Do you attend local events with a portable track?

Yes, the Society has its own club loco and portable track available for events such as fetes and shows. If you are interested in booking us for an event then please contact us.
